Forge Gardening Class: Water Conservation
Join Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens for our monthly Gardening Class, this month's topic is: Water Conservation. There are seasons where little or nothing can grow due to drought; just like our lives, there may be seasons of little growth due to a personal drought. However, we can take steps to help manage these seasons of drought by preparing for the weather and supporting our personal growth. Join Forge, The Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Jefferson County Master Gardenersas we learn about how to properly assemble and use a rain barrel that you will take home at the end of class. We will also learn how to better manage our own personal seasons of drought. This special event is for anyone who has ever been diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as their loved ones. This program is a partnership between The Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center. To reserve your place, we request a $5 reservation fee. Scholarships are available; for more information please contact Forge at 205-838-6159.
